Come and join CSSC and the Wellie Wombles on World Earth Day for a community clean up at Glamis Hall in Wellingborough.
Community clean-ups are a simple way of helping us reduce the amount of litter in our local area and make a special contribution to the environment. It's also a good way to meet other members, get some extra steps in and enjoy the fresh air.
The more people equals the more litter we can collect, but please book a ticket so we have an idea of numbers and how much equipment is needed on the day.
The event is being run alongside the Wellie Wombles, a litter picking group from Wellingborough Eco Group which was set up to encourage people to litter pick. The Wellingborough Eco Group has been set up to help improve our borough’s environment, to reduce, reuse and recycle items that would otherwise end up in landfill, and to help local people reduce their carbon footprints.
Please meet outside Glamis Hall, ready to start at 10am. We will be picking around this area for the duration, and there will be refreshments available at the end of the session from Glamis Hall.
We hope you can join us!
