Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation. Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight. Casting includes Ivano Turco as Jamie (Get Up, Stand UpBad Cinderella), with Strictly Come Dancing professional and series 16 winner Kevin Clifton playing Hugo/Loco Chanelle and X-Factor winner Sam Bailey playing the role of Miss Hedge.

Completing the cast are Shobna Gulati as Ray (The Rise And Fall Of Little VoiceCoronation Street), Rebecca McKinnis as Margaret (Dear Evan HansenWe Will Rock YouLes Misérables) and Talia Palamathanan as Pritti (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tour and film).
