It is a glorious occasion, when high fashion and millinery masterpieces take centre stage alongside Flat racing’s most elite stayers locking horns in the historic Gold Cup.

Ascot racing is a fantastic day out for ladies (and gents) and certainly in June the racecourse pulls out all the stops to impress. The Royal meeting attracts the very best in fashion, horses, trainers, and quality of racegoers alike. The Royal Ascot race meeting is without doubt one of the most glamorous events held anywhere in the world. With a less formal atmosphere, the Windsor enclosure at Ascot still provides an excellent position to watch the racing and the Royal Procession, although you cannot access the Parade Ring or main Grandstand.
There are a variety of places to eat, drink and bet to soak up the wonderful atmosphere.

Whilst we encourage racegoers to wear smart clothes no formal dress code applies except that bare chests are not permitted at any time.
Please note tables, chairs and gazebos are not permitted in the enclosure. Ascot Racecourse reserves the right to confiscate inappropriate picnics and excessive amounts of alcohol upon entry.
In the Windsor Enclosure Only – To embrace the celebratory nature of Royal Ascot, each customer (over the age of 18) is permitted to bring with them 1 bottle of sparkling wine or champagne to accompany their picnic. No other type of alcoholic drink will be permitted into the racecourse grounds and all picnics will be searched on entry. Please note that soft drinks will only be permitted into the enclosure with seals intact.
There are a substantial number of bars available inside the enclosures. We will even be offering bars on the move bringing drinks directly to you to enhance your day with us.
For clarity, bottles of Beer, Cider, Spirits, fortified wines and bottles of Pimm’s or similar will not be allowed onto the racecourse.
