High quality action whilst catching up with friends.

Set your social summer off in style with a day at the races, the scent of newly mown grass and freshly planted flowers add to the sense of new beginnings with a definite buzz in the air.

York in May is a fantastic place to come racing, the season lies ahead and many star horses have risen to prominence on the Knavesmire over these three fantastic days. The Tattersalls Musidora and the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante victors will be amongst favourites for the Classics; whilst the Boodles Yorkshire Cup, won three times by the mighty Stradivarius, has proven form ahead of the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.

May Spring Meeting 2024

First chance to combine York Races with your weekend.

The first Saturday of the season offers the chance to a few to enjoy some fresh air and the open spaces that form part of a day at the Races. The day is set to feature the most recent Pattern race at York, the Group 3 William Hill Brontë Cup. There is betting excitement aplenty, notably in the valuable Sprint.

We are delighted to announce that “Mania- the ABBA Tribute”, direct from London’s West End, are returning after racing.

Expect all those hits made famous by the Swedish fab four, delivered with a sense of fun that will have people dancing in the betting ring!

June Meeting 2024

The biggest charity meeting in Britain just gets bigger, simply attend to help raise money.

Celebrating fifty-three years of fun and fundraising, this event has now raised over £10 million for good causes, so come along and support Macmillan’s single biggest fundraising event, whilst watching one of the best known sprint handicaps for three-year-old horses in Europe.

The lawns and champagne terraces provide a great place to celebrate or commiserate now that the summer weather is (hopefully!) with us.

John Smith's Cup Meeting 2024

Informal party highlight of the year with betting excitement and summer fun.

Relax into the weekend on the Friday of the meeting watching high quality racing with your friends. On Saturday, who will land the six-figure prize money and unique Wedgwood trophy at the 65th time of asking? In the past finding the answer has produced some of the biggest gambles to hit the bookmakers; the roar when the favourite hits the front is spine tingling.

Music Showcase Weekend 2024

Friday evening 26 and Saturday 27 July

Kaiser Chiefs will be playing after racing on the evening on Friday 26 July.

Keep following to find out the act for Saturday - Children aged 5-17 must be accompanied by an adult and need a special £10 ticket, maximum two children per adult. Limited number of child tickets available, once this allocation has been reached the full adult price ticket applies.

On the other fifteen racedays, Children under 18 are admitted free of charge, with an accompanying adult.

Featuring the Juddmonte International (Group 1) – the richest race of our season, ranked number one of all thoroughbred horse races in the world 2012 and again in 2020. Famously won by both Frankel and Baaeed, considered by some the as the best thoroughbreds in history.

Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks & Ladies Day - Thursday 22 August

Ladies Day, the social highlight.

Dress to impress for fabulous prizes on the Ebor Fashion Lawn.

Regularly the highest rated mare and fillies race in Europe, the Group 1 Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks, takes place on this day- twice won by the “Queen of the Turf” - Enable.

Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe - Friday 23 August

Race into the weekend.

Featuring our fastest race, the Group 1 Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe, which regularly ranks as the highest rated 1,000m sprint in the world. A new course record of under 57 seconds was set in 2019, be here to enjoy it, just don’t blink.

Join the buzz of a big raceday with your friends.

Since 1843, our oldest and most famous race, the Ebor, has generated much excitement and many tales.

The richest flat handicap in Europe, be here to savour the race and the buzz it creates.

September Sunday 2024

There’s fun for all on our YorkMix Family Raceday, including record prize money for a seven-race card.

The additional fun is focused on the younger generation with both visits from a popular character and the “Entertainment Marquee” which has been home to giant inflatables, diggerland, a children’s zoo, zorb football, face painting, and lots more. Look closer to the time for more information.

Part of this traditional Sunday normally sees the young riders taking part in the Pony Racing Series.

Please note, for this special family meeting County Stand dress code is relaxed: gentlemen are not required to wear jacket, collar and tie.

October Finale 2024

The Friday offers a chance to catch up with friends whilst enjoying easy access to some of the best views and facilities on the turf.

In recent years, Saturday has become one of the busiest weekend racedays of the month nationwide, so there continues to be a buzz about the grandstands.
