Come and enjoy the delightful snowdrops growing around the hilltop town followed by a relaxing drink and afternoon snack in a local café. Suitable for all including children, dogs and wheelchairs.
Shaftesbury Snowdrop festival was started in 2012 to create a natural legacy for the late Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It is one of the biggest events of its type in the country and is an ideal excuse to walk round the town to admire the snowdrops along with the wonderful far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
We will initially start at the top of town (no hills or difficulties) where the majority of snowdrops are planted. You can then wander at will, admiring the snowdrops, views, or simply enjoying the town, or follow me on a longer more adventurous trail around Castle Hill the lower town and back up Gold Hill!
