About the event
Entries restricted to those that are new to CSD Sailing or sailing beginners until a month prior. Only then if spaces are still available can these be opened up to experienced members.
This event will start at 6pm Friday and finish at 6pm Sunday and is primarily intended to introduce people to sailing.
A skipper and experienced mate are provided and attendees are encouraged to take a full part in all the activities, helming, crewing, navigation etc.
The yacht is fully equipped to the highest standards and currently exceeds the statutory requirements laid down by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for charter yachts. There are sufficient life jackets, harnesses and other safety equipment for a full crew. Sailing can be dangerous but every precaution is taken to avoid risks, but it is everyone’s duty to ensure their own safety and to avoid putting others at risk at all times. All cruises start with a safety briefing.
Please complete all the details for each person you are booking for. A copy of the crew list will be left with a responsible person ashore prior to sailing.
You need to be in good health both for your own safety, the enjoyment of others, and to satisfy our insurers. We ask you to sign the health declaration upon arrival. If you suffer from an ailment which you think may affect your ability to go sailing please feel free to contact Susie Welch via email seatimebureau@channelsailing.org
