The South West Shore Angling Competition provides a great opportunity to both new and more experienced anglers to improve and diversify their angling skills.
About the Event
The winner of the qualifier will automatically be put forward to represent the South West Regional Team in the 2025 CSSC National Shore Final.
This event is open to all CSSC members, however only those living/working within the region can qualify to represent South West in the National Final.
Meet up in Cogden National Trust Car Park (DT6 4RN) at 11:30 prior to walking to the beach.
Fishing will begin at 13:00.
The event is due to finish at 19:00.
Meet up in Cogden National Trust Car Park (DT6 4RN) at 11:30 prior to walking to the beach. Please note that the beach is accessed via a mixed path of concrete slabs and well-trodden ground.
The walk to the beach is moderately downhill for approximately 400 metres which means that at the end of the match, you have to walk back up. Travel as light as possible is recommended.
Anglers are required to bring their own tackle and bait to the event.
High tide is 18:33Hrs.
The trip is weather dependant. Regular weather checks during the run up to the competition will be completed. Confirmation of the status of the trip will be sent out to all attendees a minimum of 3 days prior to the departure date.

After the event, you are able to claim back your travel and reasonable expenses via the National Travel Policy (https://www.cssc.co.uk/national-travel-policy). To note, this event comes under category 3.
