The South West Shore Angling Competition provides a great opportunity to both new and more experienced anglers to improve and diversify their angling skills.
About the Event
Due to the adverse weather and subsequent early closure of the first leg, the first three anglers at this match will qualify automatically to be put forward to represent the South West Regional Team in the 2025 CSSC National Shore Final.
This event is open to all CSSC members, however only those living/working within the region can qualify to represent South West in the National Final.
The event:
Meet up in Branscombe Beach Car Park at 12:00Hrs prior to walking to the beach. Car Park post code is EX12 3DP.
Fishing will begin at 13:00.
The event is due to finish at 19:00.
Important Information
Access to the beach is easy. The beach itself comprises of medium size pebbles and is reasonably flat with a slight slope to the waters edge.
Anglers are required to bring their own tackle and bait to the event.
High tide is 16:43Hrs with sunset at 18:26Hrs.
Headlights/torches will be required.
The trip is weather dependant. Regular weather checks during the run up to the competition will be completed. Confirmation of the status of the trip will be sent out to all attendees a minimum of 3 days prior to the departure date.
