Following the tour, we'll embark on a leisurely coastal stroll to Walmer Castle, covering approximately 2 miles of flat and easy terrain. Expect a tranquil 30 minute walk, immersing yourself in the beauty of the seaside landscape.
At Walmer Castle, you'll be greeted by an expert from English Heritage for an exclusive tour of the enchanting gardens. Explore over eight acres of lush greenery, with a special focus on the kitchen gardens and the picturesque Boardwalk borders near the castle.
The journey concludes around 1:30pm, leaving you with cherished memories of a day filled with history and natural beauty.

11:00 - Assemble at Deal Castle. Split into two groups for two separate tours, concentrating on the general history.
11:45 - Deal tour ends; comfort break before walking to Walmer.
11:50 - Walk from Deal Castle to Walmer Castle (1.4 miles) pausing for two brief commentaries along the way.
12:35 - Arrive at Walmer Castle.
12:40 - Tour of the gardens at Walmer Castle: horticultural with light history.
