This is a 2 day event on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September 2024.

All CSSC members are welcome to enter, open to all standards of play and players will be allocated to the appropriate grade section. Several men's and ladies grade competitions will be played with some grades combined depending on numbers.
Timings of the days: Friday 13th 12:00- 17:00, Saturday 14th 10:00- 17:00
Days may finish earlier depending on number of entries.
Competitions will commence at 12.30 on Friday with most players getting 2 matches on Friday afternoon followed by further matches on Saturday. Competitions will be run (depending on numbers), as either:
A knock out basis, with a Plate competition and with 3rd/4th play offs
or
“Round Robins” with all playing all and possible knock out finals for winners and losers
This should provide 4 matches for all players (2 Friday, 2 Saturday). Drop outs may affect this but players should expect at least 3 matches in each competition. Additional “Plate” competitions will be arranged to enable plenty of games.
The competition will be played in accordance with the Rules of the World Singles Game as published by England Squash, with approved balls supplied.

Optional supper at the club: Pay on the day
A buffet lunch will be provided on both Friday and Saturday by the tournament and is included with your ticket.
On Friday evening there will be a social supper ( Around £10 on the day).
We will have a Sports Massage Therapist available to CSSC players on Saturday for pre and post-match treatments, free of charge.
Accomodation
Plenty of local hotels nearby including a Holiday Inn, a 10 minute drive away.
You can claim 50% of your accomodation costs back per night. These must be reasonable accomodation costs (not living in the nearby area and not luxury hotels). All claims are reviewed and must be justified.
Grading
When entering, you will be asked for you squash grade, please read below and indicate your standard of play when entering.
F- Just started playing and can hit the ball. A basic understanding of the rules.
E- You have been playing a while but are not yet in any leagues or teams.
D- You play in an internal club/ leisure centre league but not played in a club team.
C- You play regularly in a club/ leisure centre league. You may also play in club team in the lower divisions.
B- You are a regular team player but not yet county standard.
A- You are approaching or playing at county standard. You are playing at first or premier division.
Squash Levels
We have decided to adopt/apply the widely used Squash Levels system to our Singles tournament (which will enable comparison between players nationwide. In order to be GDPR compliant players must be informed that this is going to happen. The tournament results will be fed into the system.
All entrants will be asked to provide their current Squash Levels rating.
