Improve your paddling skills, become familiar with this stretch of river, see some wildlife, have a race or just enjoy the river views.
Share a Canoe or Double Kayak with others or your group/family or paddle a single kayak on your own.
You will need to park at Grove Ferry so why not make a day of it and stay for a picnic or pop into the Grove Ferry Inn for lunch on our return.

All Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult
Under 12's can only paddle if in a shared craft with a parent/guardian over 18 (Canoe or Double Kayak).
Those aged 12+ can paddle their own craft provided they are accompanied on the water by a participating adult at all times.
The Visitor Car Park is located at Grove Ferry and costs £3. Lift included to the paddle start point at Fordwich.
Buoyancy Aids must be worn at all times - participants do not need to be able to swim to participate in this event.
Kayak or Canoe - Preference must be indicated in advance - A kayak is paddled using a double bladed paddle on alternate sides of the craft. A canoe is paddled using a single blade paddle on either side of the craft.
You must bring a mobile phone as it is required to be on the water with your group as per Canoe Wilds T&Cs, they will provide a dry bag to keep your phone safe.
What to Wear - Lightweight clothes and waterproofs are ideal as we all know how unpredictable our British weather can be. Old trainers or clothes you wouldn't mind getting wet are also a good idea. We recommend a change of clothes just in case.
