Terracotta Dragon Sculpture Pottery Workshop in Devon

A fun day learning how to create your own dragon sculpture from terracotta clay. No experience necessary.

Helen McCormick is a mid-Devon based local ceramic artist and teacher. Who has been creating objects from clay for the past 26 years. This workshop is designed to be a relaxed, friendly space where you can meet new people and have the opportunity to create, learn and have fun.

In the morning, you will learn how to design and hand-build your dragon sculpture from clay using traditional techniques. In the afternoon, you will learn how to add texture and details to your work, refining your masterpiece.

After the workshop, Helen will carefully take your sculpture home and fire it in her kiln. Collection will be 4 – 6 weeks after the workshop.

The only thing you need to bring is a packed lunch and an apron or wear old clothes

FREE ALL DAY PARKING. The carpark is located at the back of the building. To access the carpark you will need to turn up Tiverton Road off the High Street, and then turn left just before the fire station onto Shortlands Lane. It is a narrow lane and easily missed. Drive a few yards up the lane and you will see the sign for the carpark on the left. Turn left and follow the drive through the gate ahead.
