Summer Comedy Takeover At Liverpool Irish Centre

Stand Up comedy Night, Liverpool Irish Centre Friday 12th July 2024. This will surely be another memorable night of laughter you won't want to miss.

Headliner: Mike Rice

Irish farmers son, and general Nasty Character, Mike Rice is one of Ireland and the UK’s fastest rising comedy stars. Having started comedy in 2015, Mike has amassed a large online following from podcast and stand up clips, regularly getting millions of views on various platforms. As well as co-hosting Mike & Vittorio’s Guide to Parenting with Vittorio Angelone, and Big Mike and The Chief with Rob Moriarty, Mike has appeared multiple times on smash hit podcast Have a Word, and released his first comedy special in October 2023.

Opening Act: Lori Smith

Whilst being a relative newcomer to the stand up circuit Lori is quickly making a name for herself as a very capable act and MC. Her natural affability easily wins over even the toughest crowd and her quick wit ensure the laughs are delivered consistently. Having already performed at some of the biggest clubs in the country and supported some huge touring comedians both in the UK and Europe, as well as creating her own comedy promotion ‘Chuckle F#*kers’, Lori draws on her colourful past and rich life experiences to form stories which set her material out from anyone else on the circuit right now. That combined with super confident crowd work means audiences are sure to be left sore from laughter. Not one to be missed!

Host: Mark Devine

'Relatively new to stand up, Mark has confidence of a seasoned performer with his funny stories & anecdotes about his life' Allan Finnegan BGT semi finalist. 'Mark at the Bijou, Southport delivered a very solid performance. He gets better every time I see him' Kevin O'Brien - Comedy Gold.
