Are you a Great Pottery Throw Down fan, or do you just want to get your hands messy and learn about pottery in England's pottery home, Stoke?
Join us in Stoke on Trent at the Gladstone Pottery Museum, the filming location of the Great Pottery Throw Down, for a day of pottery fun!
1.5 hour tour of the Gladstone Pottery
Choice of one of two workshops
Anything you make in the workshops can be taken home
Morning Workshop - Art deco style plate painting in the style of Clarice Cliff
Afternoon Workshop - Clay handling session to make your own decorated pot. The pot will be unfired but for £1.50 additional arrangements can be made with the pottery staff on the day to have your pot fired and collected in 3-4 weeks.
10:15 am - Arrive at the Gladstone Pottery Museum
10:30 am - We will be split into two groups. Group 1 will start with a pottery tour while group 2 will start with the plate painting workshop.
12:00 pm - We will break for lunch (buffet menu below, dietary requirements can be catered for).
13:00 pm - The groups will be split up again. Group 1 will do the clay handling workshop while group 2 will go on the pottery tour.
2:30 pm - Finish. You will then have time to explore the museum independently, or to go to the coffee shop and enjoy some cake (not included).

All attendees must be over 18.
Each member can purchase up to 4 tickets.
We are sorry to say that this event is not suitable for people with severe mobility issues. You will need to access upper floors in the building and while there is a lift available it cannot be used during an emergency evacuation, so all attendees must be able to exit the building via the stairway.
Your confirmation email will be your ticket for the event, please bring it along with your CSSC digicard for admittance to the event.
If you came to one of the events last year and are not interested in the tour please email events.midlands@csscvolunteer.co.uk to ensure the tour group is not delayed. You will still be able to access the museum.
