The area is steeped in history and walkers will see the remains of an Iron Age Hillfort and takes us through Chipping Sodbury, Little Sodbury and Old Sodbury.
The walk is just under 6 miles and follows a scenic route taking in the Monarch’s Way, the Cotswold Way and the Frome Valley Walkway. Starting and finishing at Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club Car Park.

Total ascent is just under 400 feet and the walk is classified as leisurely.
Free! - But if we stop at café, you will need to pay for any food and drink ordered.
9.45am - Meet at the Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club Car Park
10am - Walk starts
Return to the Car Park after enjoying the walk!
Duration – Around two and a half hours. Walking at a steady pace but stopping for the views and for a drink.
Terrain - At the moment the terrain is dry and hard, I cannot guarantee what it will be like on the day.
Location - Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club Car Park, Chipping Sodbury, BS37 6GA. There are plenty of parking spaces. Free!
Lunch – Depending on numbers I can arrange for a light lunch in a very nice café in Chipping Sodbury High Street. It is called Hamptons. This will be at an extra cost.
Access & Dogs - there could be cattle or sheep in the occasional field. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads whenever I request. There are about 5 stiles on the walk.
What to Bring - Please bring with you all-weather clothing, any walking/hiking aids if needed, plus water and snack(s). Sturdy waterproof walking boots or shoes recommended.
