Gore Tree Studio is a glass art and crafts studio in a quaint little village called Hemingford Grey in Cambridgeshire, near the River Great Ouse, run by owner artist Carole Pollock.
Each workshop is designed for beginners/improvers to learn new skills and techniques in a friendly rural setting in a small class (to ensure you get lots of individual tuition). During the day, you will learn the basic aspects of glass fusing - how to cut glass, about the different types and qualities of fusing glass, firing schedules and be encouraged to create your masterpiece. You will be able to make one or two fused glass pieces (e.g. small wave/curve, coaster, small dish or suncatcher or piece of jewellery). All tools and glass will be provided. You may have your own creative ideas, if not, I have sample projects/ideas you can try.
Each glass piece will need to be fired in the kiln for 24 hours to fuse the glass. Your glass pieces will be available for you to collection 10 to 14 days after the workshop.
