Join East Kent for a beach yoga event, taking place on Hythe Beach. All abilities are welcome.
The event is being run by Scott from STOP DROP YOGA. An experienced yoga teacher with over 13 years of practice. The session will last for approximately 1.5 hours.
The class will include a brief chat about yoga's benefits and history and discuss any individual limitations or requests.
Start with a sequence of postures with modifications for all levels. We will have a pranayama (breath work) session which slows down the central nervous system.
Once we've finished our practice, we'll wind down with a deep relaxation using singing bowls and koshi chimes. It's the perfect way to end the class, allowing you to completely let go and fully relax.
And if you're feeling up for it, there's the option to take a post-yoga swim in the sea to really refresh and invigorate your body.
Members: £7
Non Members: £10
Will be in a group of 10 adults - Over 18's only
No upper age limit, but keep in mind this is a physical, dynamic practice, so a reasonable level of fitness would be preferred but not essential.
CSSC members may purchase one member priced ticket CSSC membership number. Limited to two tickets total.
Available to purchase until 20 September or until sold out.
You will receive confirmation of your booking via email. However, this will not be your ticket for the event, you will just need to give your name on arrival.
We will meet on Hythe Beach opposite Hythe Imperial.
Wear comfortable clothing: We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers are also a good idea in case it gets chilly.
Bring a yoga mat: While we will have some spare mats available, we recommend bringing your own if you have one. This will help ensure that you have a clean and comfortable surface to practice on.
Bring water: It's important to stay hydrated during our class, so please bring a water bottle with you.
Arrive early: We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes early to allow yourself time to set up your mat and get settled in.
Inform the instructor of any injuries: If you have any injuries or medical conditions that might affect your practice, please let the instructor know before the class begins. This will allow them to offer modifications or adjustments as needed.
Listen to your body: Yoga is a personal practice, so please listen to your body and don't push yourself beyond your limits. Feel free to take breaks or modify poses as needed.
Relaxation time: At the end of our class, we'll be using singing bowls and koshi chimes for deep relaxation. You're welcome to bring a blanket or extra layer to keep yourself warm and comfortable during this time.
Optional sea swim: If you're interested in taking a post-yoga swim in the sea, be sure to bring a towel and any swimwear you may need.
