The HASSRA Retired members Club are running a Walk and Car Treasure Hunt and have asked if CSSC members, particularly retired members, that would like to join them.
The Treasure Hunt starts near Tavistock and will take approx. 5 hours in total. It entails approx. 33 miles of driving and 2 miles of walking. The stops on route are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and disabled members.

The Treasure Hunt will start from 10.00am. onwards, at Pork Hill Carpark just outside Tavistock, on the B3357 to Princetown and takes you through several ancient and historic Dartmoor Villages. The theme of the clues will be based on finding clues regarding escaped prisoners from the Prison.
Attendees will be contacted by the organiser, Lloyd Hills, before the event who will give them details of their start time as each car will be sent off at 15-to-20-minute intervals.
The Hunt will finish at a suitable location where attendees will get a free tea or coffee or soft drink.
There are ample places on route to stop for a break for refreshments etc. and there will be a place at the finish where additional refreshments can be purchased.
Members - £7 per car
Non-Members - £10 per car
You will be contacted by the organiser, Lloyd Hills, before the event with your start time.
If there is someone who is going alone but who might like to join up with someone who has a spare seat in their car please contact Lloyd Hills and he will try and arrange this if possible.
All stops on the route are accessible for disabled, wheelchair users and pushchairs.
You must accept full liability and you are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of your group while following and completing any Trail.
Please be respectful whilst on your Trail and considerate for your surroundings. Some of the land may be privately owned and clues may well be set on property which should require thoughtful and appropriate behaviour; such as war memorials, gravestones and historical sites or ancient monuments.
