Join us for a Fungi Foraging exclusive event at Wakehurst!
Join us this October on an autumnal forage through the stunning Wakehurst gardens. You will learn about Nature Unlocked, the landscape ecology programme at Wakehurst, This major research project sees Kew scientists use Wakehurst’s rich landscape as a ‘living laboratory’ to collect high-quality scientific evidence on the value of UK biodiversity. You will also discover how scientists at Wakehurst are helping to unearth the crucial role of Fungi in our ecosystems.
10.15am - Arrival and welcome at the Wakehurst Visitor centre
10.30am- Fungi foraging walk through the gardens with Daniel Coram will commence
12pm - Lunch (please bring lunch with you)
1pm - Fungi and Nature Unlocked talk with Mycology Senior Research Leader, Laura Martinez-Suz (Also available to join online)
1.30-1.45pm - Q&A with Laura
2pm - Guests free to depart or continue to explore
