For Christmas 2024, we are taking you back in time for a yuletide treat based on the classic poem A Visit from St. Nicholas – an enchanting visitor-led experience through the State Rooms and a magical light trail in the West Front Gardens.
Enjoy a festive delight inspired by the traditional poem, featuring mice, sugar plums and stockings hung by the chimney with care! Expect more magic, more lights and even bigger smiles as you join us for a Christmas to remember!

The Light Trail is completely accessible to visitors as it takes place in the West Front Gardens. However, due to the age and nature of the House, there is no disabled access to the upper floors which includes the venue for the House experience Dogs are not allowed in the House experience or the Light Trail. However, Assistance and support dogs are welcome throughout.
