Join us for a great Festive Sunday morning breath of fresh air along the River Trent in Nottingham city centre. Wear your Santa hats and festive attire for seasonal stroll! This guided walking tour starts in Wilford village crosses the Trent to walk along the embankment to cross back over Trent Bridge and walk back to Wilford Village where you can enjoy refreshments at The Ferry Inn if you wish.
The walk is flat along tarmac pavements and paths and is suitable for all.
Please wear suitable walking clothing, sensible shoes and dress for the weather.
Time and Date: Sunday 8th December walk leaves promptly at 10:30am
The full walk is around 1 ¼ hours (3 miles) but there is an option to shorten it to 45 minutes (2.3 miles) if that is preferred.
Meeting Point: The tour will meet in the tram station carpark, Wilford at the side of The Ferry pub.
Guide: The tour will be led by Adrian Nicholson, a CSSC Walk Leader Volunteer who is local to the area.
What Will You See: Cross the Toll Bridge over the River Trent. On the embankment see the statue of Robert Jukes of Clifton and learn all about the War Memorial Gateway and its links to Jesse Boot. (Option her to cross suspension bridge and return to the Ferry Inn). Crossing Trent Bridge look across to Notts County and Nottingham Forest football grounds and the magnificent Trent Bridge cricket ground. Walk back along the other side of the Trent in front of County Hall back to the pub!

Non-Members: Free – but you will need to pay for your own refreshments
