This event is primarily intended to introduce people to sailing. Therefore entries will be restricted to those that are new to CSD Sailing or sailing beginners until a month prior. Only then if spaces are still available can these be opened up to experienced members. ⚓
🕛 Event will start at 18:00 on Friday 25th April, 2025.

A skipper and experienced mate are provided and attendees are encouraged to take a full part in all the activities, helming, crewing, navigation etc.
📍 The yacht is moored at Mercury Yacht Harbour, Post Code SO31 4HQ on the River Hamble berth C25.
🗺️ From M27 JUNCTION 8 follow the signs to HAMBLE. After about 2 miles down Hamble Lane, turn left onto Satchell Lane (The Marina is sign-posted). The Marina is on the left after ½ mile.
ℹ️ There is ample parking and toilets. Enquire in the marina office for the gate access code to the berth and toilets.

The yacht is fully equipped to the highest standards and currently exceeds the statutory requirements laid down by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for charter yachts. There are sufficient life jackets, harnesses and other safety equipment for a full crew. Sailing can be dangerous but every precaution is taken to avoid risks, but it is everyone’s duty to ensure their own safety and to avoid putting others at risk at all times. All cruises start with a safety briefing.
Please complete all the details for each person you are booking for. A copy of the crew list will be left with a responsible person ashore prior to sailing.

The boat is partly funded by the Civil Service Sports Council and is run by the Channel Sailing Division of the Civil Service Sailing Association.
